Cryptography & Security Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Cryptography Expert & Security Specialist to serve as the ultimate guardian of our global infrastructure. This is a role for a "hacker" in the truest sense—someone with a deep, low-level understanding of how systems work and how they can be broken. You will be responsible for the security architecture of our distributed global network focusing on the implementation of advanced encryption standards, securing our nodes, and conducting proactive penetration testing. You will think like an adversary to ensure our defences are impenetrable.
Location:
Budapest, 1054
Key Responsibilities
- Cryptographic Architecture: Design and implement robust security protocols using Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), ensuring the integrity of data at rest and in transit across our US, EU, and Budapest nodes.
- Low-Level Systems Security: Perform deep-dive security audits of low-level system processes to identify vulnerabilities that high-level scanners miss.
- Ethical Hacking & Red Teaming: Lead internal "Red Team" operations, performing authorized penetration tests on our networks, applications, and hardware to uncover and patch security flaws.
- Secure Networking: Harden our L2/L3 and wireless network configurations, implementing advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and securing our dedicated/virtual firewalls.
- Vulnerability Research: Stay ahead of the threat landscape by researching emerging zero-day exploits and developing custom scripts to mitigate them.
- Identity & Access Management: Oversee the secure deployment of hardware security modules (HSM) and secure enclave technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Low-Level Programming: Mastery of C, C++, or Rust is essential. You must be comfortable with assembly language, memory management, and debugging at the binary level.
- Linux/Unix Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Linux/Unix internals, including kernel security modules (SELinux/AppArmor), namespaces, and secure system configuration.
- Cryptographic Expertise: Deep understanding of Public Key Encryption (RSA, ECC, Diffie-Hellman). Proficiency in modern symmetric encryption (AES-GCM, ChaCha20).
- Networking Security: Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, SSL/TLS protocols, VPN technologies, and secure routing.
- Hacking Toolkit: Proficiency with standard security tools (Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark) and the ability to write custom exploits or security scripts in Python or Go.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), CISSP, or advanced GIAC certifications.
- Bug Bounty Track Record: A history of responsible disclosure or ranking on major bug bounty platforms.
- Capital Markets Security: Experience securing high-frequency trading (HFT) environments or blockchain-based financial systems.
- Reverse Engineering: Experience with tools like Ghidra, IDA Pro, or Binary Ninja.
- Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standards is a strong plus.
Benefits
- Competitive Salary: A top-tier compensation package tailored to your experience and the global market.
- Ownership Stake: Employee Share Options (ESOP), allowing you to directly benefit from the company’s long-term growth and success.
- Professional Growth: Access to International Conferences (US, Europe, and beyond) to stay at the forefront of your field.
- Premium Mobility: A Company Car provided as part of your compensation package (subject to role/seniority level).
- Daily Perks: Complimentary lunch, snacks, and premium coffee to keep you fueled throughout the day.
- International Environment: The opportunity to work in a truly global setting with sister companies in the US and EU.
