Kishonti Informatics demonstrated GLBenchmark 3.0 at SIGGRAPH 2012. GLBenchmark 3.0 is the latest product of the popular GLBenchmark family that measures and compares the graphics performance of the underlying OpenGL ES implementation of different mobile devices and embedded systems.
The demonstration was part of Khronos Group’s press conference on the release of OpenGL™ ES 3.0 specification. OpenGL ES 3.0 brings significant functionality and portability enhancements to the industry-leading, royalty-free 3D graphics API.
“OpenGL ES 3.0 content further solidifies mobile’s position as a key gaming experience platform. GLBenchmark 3.0 will show the state of the art both through credible metrics and gorgeous visuals thus provide an important tool for chip vendors and manufacturers to develop stable solutions that are compliant with the latest OpenGL ES 3.0 standard”, says László Kishonti, CEO of Kishonti Informatics Ltd.
GLBenchmark 3.0 will include all major new features that OpenGL ES 3.0 API (Halti) will provide:
Array textures and 3D textures for animated textures
Occlusion query for light effects
Multi-render target for deferred rendering
Depth shadow maps
Other spectacular effects:
Many dynamic lights
Cloaking effect with stipple transparency and animated texture
SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion)
Bloom (with bright-pass filter)
GLBenchmark 3.0 has been ported to all major mobile operating systems such as Android, iOS and Linux and is available for licensing.
